| I found a neat large pic of the bike I would like to be able to get at the following link ( the link ).
just went out shopping for "supplies" ..... vics vapodrops, anticol lozengers etc etc. my voice sounds like i have been gargling gravel for the last half hour at the moment. :( not the best. Had a couple pints of Guinness for medicinal purposes of course. :)
have a great day all | | |
| Hi all ...... well it did finally settle but for WAY less than I had thought or hoped. I will be able to get a bike and get some treatment, and replace some things but not a great deal more than that considering the economic loss and perm injury. I won't be able to work for at least a couple years yet.
I have been checking out a couple of reviews on one of the bikes I am looking at ( review1 or review2 ) so you can have a look if you are interested it is the Yamaha FJR1300A.
In about 2 weeks I'll be starting a course at the RBH pain clinic which will go for 8 exciting weeks :) .
I really need to see about borrowing a digital camera and taking a couple of pics of the old Honda which is on the road but knowing me that will take forever and a day.
Just for something different I have been having fun dealing with the flu ...... I have been barking up a lung for the last couple of days and had a fever last night. oh joy *grins*
have a good week/weekend all and take care of yourselves.

| My bike is now on the road and registered and insured.............. Wwhheeeeee
It is running ok but there are a few "not the best" noises, there is a bit of noise with the pistons and i've been told that it'll need new rings soon, as well as a new chain and a couple of other things.
But it's running and it is a smooth ride so it's good to be able to get out and feel the wind in my face. :)
I have my mediation conference on the 19th of March and I've been told that there is about a 50/50 chance of it settling at conference. This is great if it does settle as I will be able to get propper treatment then and work on reducing the daily pain and work on getting some strength into my back muscles. So keep your fingers crossed for me or pray to whomever you honour for a good and favourable result for me please.
I wish one and all a good week. :)
| My "keep sane project" is nearly completed. Just a few electrical problems left and then (I Hope) it is only the road worthy and registration and insurance left after that.
hope life treats you well

| Just a quick comment. :)
My "Keep sane Project" or maybe "Get sane Project" is in the form of a bike repair/rebuild/fixup. I managed to get an old Honda CB 900 F2 Boldor and am in the process of getting things fixed and so on. It has new tyres front and rear now (generally considered important), new brake pads, some work done on the brake pistons and slides, the front fork seals should be done this week. while this is being done at the shop I've managed to get the fairing and assorted other bits off the bike for cleaning up etc. At the moment the tank, side covers and most of the other little bits and pieces have been sanded back, leaving mainly the nose section of the fairing to be sanded. After that we'll need to do an undercoat then start spraying. The colour will be similar to what is known as "British racing green".
Hope everyone has a great week
